Rick's Garden

I went to visit the Rick Bayless home garden on a trip sponsored by the Chicago Botanic Garden.Unfortunately, Rick was stuck in an airport in London, so he wasn't there. But, I did meet him before, when I gave him an armload of my angelica. (I have a recipe published for candied angelica in the "Smith & Hawken Community Garden Cookbook." But I did give his gardener some of my plants and seeds of angelica, so maybe they will flourish in Rick's home garden.

Cool Globe

I finally tracked down my Cool Globe! They transported it to Washington, D.C. to the United States Botanic Garden, next to the Capital. How appropriate! I wish that I could visit it. (It stays up until mid-October.) It will be auctioned off , I think in D.C.
